Upcycling Old Car Toys

Sometimes getting toys for that new favourite show you child is into, is impossible. So why not make it yourself?

I used air-drying clay for this but it dries hard and can break easily so soft clay is better if it's going to be handled roughly by smaller kids.

The Method

It’s pretty straightforward. All you need to do is cover the wheels with tape before beginning so that you don’t get the clay stuck in there. Then just mould the clay, whether air drying or soft clay directly onto the car. Once dry, apply acrylic paint , wait once more for that to dry and voila! Your new toy is ready.

We even made a parking garage out of boxes right outside their house.
